Angela Fay Wemigwans, 49, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Monday, November 22, 2010 at Woodland Hospice.
Funeral services for Angela will be held at the Tribal Gym on Friday, November 26th at 2 p.m. with Rev. Owen White-Pigeon officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodland Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 24th from 5-9 p.m., Thursday, November 25th from 5-9 p.m. at Clark Family Funeral Chapel, and on Friday, November 26th from 1 p.m. until the time of service at the Tribal Gym. Memorial contributions may be made to Woodland Hospice or to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel and the Tribal Gym.
Angela was born on August 7, 1961 the daughter John and Joyce (Collins) Hart. She was a member of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe and enjoyed beading and playing bingo. Angela also enjoyed traveling the world and listening to music, especially when George played the guitar.
Angela is survived by her best friend, George Sprague of Mt. Pleasant; children, John Wemigwans, Thomas Wemigwans, and Larissa (Robert) Gonzales, all from Mt. Pleasant; 13 grandchildren including, Daniel Wemigwams, Thomas Wemigwans, Jr., Tayla Wemigwans, Gabriella Wemigwans, John Charles Wemigwans, Jr., Azaleigha Wemigwans, Aiyanah Wemigwans, and Robert Gonzales, Jr.; mother, Joyce Collins of Mt. Plesant; brother, John (Courtney) Hart of Mt. Pleasant; sisters, Debra (Vincente) Vidana of Chicago, IL, Kathleen (Gary Rueckert) Hart of Mt. Pleasant, and Paula Alexander of Mt. Pleasant.
Angela was preceded in death by her father; brother Paul Hart; and grand-daughter Debiziikwe.
