Services: His funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 20, at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home, 2300 S. Lincoln Rd., with Rev. Doyle Perry of Faith Indian Nazarene Church officiating. Burial will be in McClure Cemetery in Gladwin at 4 p.m. Monday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and on Monday one hour prior to service.

William Netmop, 60, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010, at Gratiot Medical Center in Alma.

William was born Nov. 3, 1950, in West Branch, the son of William C. and Dorothy (Sawmick) Netmop. After high school he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He married Cynthia Taylor on Aug. 28, 1971, in Thomas, MI. He was a member of the Saginaw-Chippewa Indian Tribe.
Bill is survived by his wife, Cindy; three children, William C. Netmop III of Punta Gorda, FL, Daniel F. Netmop of Mt. Pleasant, and Candice M. Netmop of Mt. Pleasant; two granddaughters, Kaida and Nevaeh; his mother, Dorothy Netmop of Mt. Pleasant; five siblings, Sharon (Ron) Sasse of Gladwin, Rita (John) Bills of Gladwin, Robert (Sue) Netmop of Mt. Pleasant, Mary (Mike) Floyd of Mt. Pleasant and Lorene McArthur of Gaylord; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and step-mom, William and Mavis Netmop Sr.; and brother, Rodney.
