Harold Joseph Stevens passed away suddenly, December 21, 2010, at St. Mary's Hospital. Age 81 years.
The son of the late Joseph and Dorothy (BeWalt) Stevens was born March 7, 1929 in Clark Lake, Michigan. He married Carol J. Brandel, February 13, 1960. She passed away January 24, 2006
He was a member of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe and served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a switchboard operator. He was employed by General Motors, Buick Div. in Flint and by Parker Dairy in Saginaw. He was of the Catholic faith and was an avid outdoorsman. His loves were hunting, fishing, trapping, football and space.
Surviving are two daughters, Jill Stevens and Tracey White and her husband, Sam; his grandchildren, Michael Vann, Vannessa VVV, VaLaine, Teri, Jamie, Missy, Jordan, his special helper, Joshua and Anthony; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, two sisters, Ralph Stevens, Genevieve Raymond, Paul and Yvonne Stevens, Audrey and Ron Duensing; several nieces and nephews. A daughter and a son, Jeannie Marie and Tony Stevens a brother-in-law, John Raymond and a sister-in-law, JoAnn Stevens have predeceased him.
The funeral service will take place at Noon Monday, December 27, 2010, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Rev. Richard Jozwiak will officiate with cremation to follow. Friends may call at the Chapel from 9:00 a.m. Monday until the time of the funeral service.
