Patrick Henry "Manido Gabow" Trepanier, Sr., 47, of Hayward, Wisconsin passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at the St. Mary's Clinic in Duluth, Minnesota
Funeral services for Patrick will be held at the Chippewa Indian United Methodist Church on Tuesday, March 1st at 2 p.m. with Rev. Owen White-Pigeon officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodland Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 27th and on Monday, February 28th from 2-9 p.m. at the church.
Patrick was born on July 8, 1963, the son of Walter Joseph and Geraldine (Davis) Trepanier. Pat had worked as a security guard for the Lac Courte Oreilles Casino in Hayward, Wisconsin. He was a member of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe. His Indian name "Manido Gabow" translated Standing Spirit.
Patrick is survived by his wife, Connie "Susie" Miller; children, Gina (Derek) Trepanier-Gokee, Trisha Trepanier (Jordan Milam), Brittany Trepanier (Benjamin Fleming), and Patrick (Boston) Trepanier, Jr. , all of Hayward, WI; grandchildren, Cayden Trepanier, Eboni Trepanier, Layci Trepanier-Gokee, Kamara Trepanier-Milam, and Maleigha Trepanier-Milam, all of Hayward, WI; brothers, John Pete (Mary) Trepanier and Richard (Charlene) Trepanier, both of Hayward, WI, and Bruno Joseph (Joleen) Wemigwans of Mt. Pleasant; sisters, Francine Trepanier and Jacqueline Wemigwans, both of Mt. Pleasant, Jolene (James) Wilson and Melita Trepanier (Joe Sprague), both of Twin Lake, MI, Nancy "Kerrina" Trepanier-Miller and Patricia (Brian) Wemigwans, both of Mt. Pleasant; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Patrick was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joseph A. Trepanier; and brother-in-law, Donald L. Miller, Jr. in 2006.
