Isaac James Pego, 22, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Spectrum Hospital in Grand Rapids.
Funeral services for Isaac will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Saturday, March 26th at 1 p.m. with Rev. Sam McClellan officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 24th and Friday, March 25th from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m., with a prayer service at 7pm on Friday. The family will also receive friends on Saturday, March 22nd from 12 noon until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Saginaw Chippewa Community Church or to the Humane Animal Treatment Society (H.A.T.S.). Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Isaac was born on September 9, 1988 in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Robert and June Pego. Isaac was a member of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe and the Saginaw Chippewa Community Church. He loved animals, bike riding, and sports, especially football.
Isaac is survived by his parents; siblings, Jacqueline W. Pego, Robert (Jessica) Pego, Jr., and Olivia J. Pego; uncles, Steve (Mae) Pego, Allen (Diane) Pego, Scott (special friend Anita) Pego, Samuel Pego, and Jonah Bowie; aunts, Elaine (Kevin) Shawnoo, Faith (Tony) Carmona-Pego, Esther (Larry) Spencer, Hannah Bowie, and Edith (Milton) Barker; caretaker, Pamela Wade; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was especially fond of his nephew Caden Pego.
Isaac was preceded in death by his grandparents, James W. and Grace Pego; grandma, Alice Bowie; uncle, Joe Bowie, Jr.; and cousin, Allen John Pego.
