Louise Ramos, age 78, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at the Laurels of Mt. Pleasant. Louise was born on July 17, 1933 in Isabella County, the daughter of Henry and Marie Joseph Wheaton. On April 3, 1959, she and Sebastian Ramos were married in Mt. Pleasant. Mr. Ramos died June 3, 1986.
Louise was a member of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe. She was a homemaker most of her life, and had also worked as a sales clerk for Murray's 5 & 10 in Mt. Pleasant.
Survivors include her daughter Marie Kequom and her husband Dennis of Mt. Pleasant, grandchildren Chip and Dana Neyome and Vinnie and Tonia Kequom and seven great grandchildren; two nephews Ron Johansen and his wife Marty of Mt. Pleasant and Glen Hall of Mt. Pleasant, also two great nieces and nephews. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, both parents, a sister Ida Strong and a brother Richard Wheaton.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at Memorial Gardens, 740 S. Mission Road with Rev. Owen WhitePigeon officiating. Memorial contributions have been suggested to Woodland Hospice. Envelopes are available at the Rowley Funeral Home and at Memorial Gardens on Wednesday
