Joyce Joann Hart, 77, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2012.
Funeral services for Joyce will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Wednesday April 11th at 1 p.m. with Paul Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodland Cemetery in Rosebush. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 10th from 6-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Andahwod Elders Facility . Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Joyce was born on August 18, 1934 in Delwin, MI, the daughter of Charles Collins and Mary Jackson. She married John William Hart, who preceded her in death on September 10, 2002. Joyce was a member of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe. Her hobbies included going to the casino, watching western shows, loved Elvis Presley, country music, and playing bingo and loved shopping. She also played the guitar and harmonica.
Joyce is survived by her children: Debra (Vincente) Vidana of Aurora, IL, Kathy (Gary Rueckert) Hart of Mt. Pleasant, Paula Alexander-Hart of Mt. Pleasant, and John (Stephanie McDonald) Hart of Mt. Pleasant; 17 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; brothers: Ron Collins of Six Lakes, Steve Collins of Bradley, MI, Lyle (Francois) Collins of Boise, Idaho; sisters: Doris (Art) Romer of Gladwin, Vivian (Paul) Jackson of Mt. Pleasant, and son-in-law George Sprague of Mt. Pleasant, and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, her son Paul, daughter Angela Wemigwans-Sprague, brother Charles Collins, two grandchildren: Alexander Towns and Nick Bush, Jr. and one great-grandchild, Debiizikwe Wemigwans.
