Makis Joseph Leaureaux, 31, of Mt. Pleasant went to be with his Creator on Tuesday, September 18, 2012.
Funeral Services for Makis will be held on Friday, September 21, 2012 at the Tribal Gym at 1 p.m. with Pastor Doyle Perry officiating. Interment will follow in the Denver Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 20 at the home, 2757 S. Leaton Rd. Visitation will continue from 12 noon to the time of the service at the gym.
Makis was born on April 21, 1981, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of James Floyd and Rose Wassegijig. Makis was a member of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe. Makis loved spending time with nieces and nephews. He enjoyed socializing and listening to music. Makis was a very fun loving, caring and outgoing person.
Makis is survived by his mother, Rose; siblings, Valarie (Andrew) Raphael, Steven Wassegijig, Allan (Jennifer) Wassegijig, and Nebin Floyd; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Makis was preceded in death by his father, James; sisters, Sandy and Cottney Sanchez; grandparents; 4 uncles; and best friend, Timothy Bernard Gardner.
