Tuesday Night Bass Fishing-Aug. 16 at Budd Lake, Aug. 23 at George Lake. Sponsored by the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe Parks & Recreation Department (989) 775-4128. The cost is $10 per fisher per night and fishing time is from 6 to 9 p.m. with the boat docked no later than 9 p.m. First place wins the pot, second place receives a $50 gift certificate and third place gets a $25 gift certificate. Rules: 1. One fish per person. 2. Winning fish must be 14 inches. (Biggest fish length.) 3. Prizes carry over if no legal fish is caught. 4. To fish, you must pay the amount due if there is a rollover. 5. Any bait, live or artificial. 6. Money and prizes will be split in the event of a tie. 7. Open to employees and members of the community. 8. Boats may not leave dock until 6 p.m. (Live wells checked before leaving dock).

Annual People's Powwow-Aug. 20 Seventh Generation is hosting Grand Entry at 11 a.m. A meal will be served at 4:30 p.m. followed by entertainment provided by Keith Secola and the Wild Band of Indians. Baby Celebration-Aug. 23 from 5-7 p.m. Seventh Generation will be welcoming all the new little ones with this semi-annual event including guest speakrs Tracy Lee and Steve Pego. Call (989) 775-4780 for more information.

Basketball Tournament-Aug. 25; Sponsored by Parks & Recreation in the Tribal Operations parking lot starting at 5 p.m. Last year this was a very popular event and we hope that teams will be forming soon.

At-Large's Elder Trip Program-The correct departure dates are as follows: San Antonio-Sept. 5 & New Orleans-Sept. 12. Trip organizers request that Tribal Elders register as soon as possible to attend the last of the program's trips. Remember Rally-Sept. 10 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Tribal Public Safety Building-6954 E. Broadway-in Mt. Pleasant.�Hosted by Blue Knights Michigan X , the goal of this motorcycle benefit run is to raise funds and public awareness for the healthcare needs of rescue workers and volunteers from Sept. 11. All clubs are welcome. Registration is $15 per person with all proceeds going to the Mt. Sinai Health for Heroes program. Registration qualifies each rider for a 94 mile police escorted ride, lunch after the ride, and raffle drawings including concert tickets to Alice Cooper, Buddy Guy and Johnny Lang.
