Retreat intends to renew and re-energize

Women's Health/BCCCP at Nimkee will present the 2005 Annual Women's Retreat at the Soaring Eagle Resort on Oct. 17 and 18.

This day long workshop and one-night stay at the hotel is limited to the first 24 registrants with paid registration.

Registration must be completed and returned to Judy at Nimkee by Oct. 10. The $25 nonrefundable registration fee should be included. Registration will be on a first-come, first served basis of those with paid registrations on file. Late fees will be accepted only if rooms are available.

Accommodations for this event will be two people in each room. If an individual does not have a room mate, one will be assigned. Check-in time is 4 p.m. on Oct. 17.

The facilitator for the event is Denise Alley. Alley is a dynamic speaker, author and performer. She is also founder of Native Star, a company specializing in workshops and retreats.

Alley resides in Mesa, AZ and currently serves on the Arizona Board of Directors for American Indian Services. She is completing a book, "Thank You God for Chocolate Kisses and Other Life Experiences."

She also performs with her family the Wisdom Indian Dancers and has performed internationally.

Alley has facilitated workshops for companies, hospitals, Native American programs, casinos, and schools throughout the country for the last 11 years.

Native Star workshops and retreats are geared toward renewing team spirit, re-energizing attitudes, recommiting to service and remembering you diviness.

The event looks to sharpen ones vision, skills and bring spirit back to the workplace.

In Native Star workshops, participants are given an opportunity to re-evaluate purposes, values and recommit to personal day to day performance.

The 10th Annual Feather Link Tea will unite community women and promote healthy lifestyles in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The event is planned for Oct. 18 and will take place at the Soaring Eagle Resort from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Guest Speaker Denise Alley will provide a presentation on the "Three Secrets for a Balanced Native Woman."
