SCIT Eagles basketball

Joseph V. Sowmick - February 07, 2014

In an effort to provide bonus coverage, Team Observer joins with the Youth LEAD Department and the SCIT Eagles for some action packed basketball at the Eagles Nest Tribal Gym on Sunday, February 9th.  Coach Erik Rodriguez has his 6th grade SCIT Eagles boys team ready to play against Morley-Stanwood at 1:30pm.  The second game features Morley-Stanwood against the Fighting Irish of Sacred Heart.  Your SCIT Eagles wrap up the afternoon of county league action as they face the Irish in the third game.   Youth LEAD & Family Recreational Specialist Consuelo J. Gonzalez will be running concessions during the event.  Tickets are $2 for adults, $1 for children and students with $5 for the whole family.  In county league action last Sunday, the 4th grade girls soared as the SCIT Eagles downed the Marauders of Ovid-Elsie 18-11 and defeated the St. Charles Bulldogs 36-8!  In 4th grade boys action, the SCIT Eagles lost their first game to the Ithaca Yellowjackets 29-16 but rebounded to take the last game of the doubleheader 20-13. After the SCIT Eagles finish their Sunday games, the Men’s Basketball League resumes their season with week three action tip off slated for 5pm.  Let’s get out and support our Tribal athletes this Sunday afternoon as we are the home team when they play “at our Nest” … GO EAGLES!
