Teacher James Day receives an award certificate as Educator of the Month.
Joseph V. Sowmick - April 13, 2015
In an effort to provide bonus coverage, Team Observer joins with Tribal Education and the Saginaw Chippewa Academy as they honor their 2nd Grade Teacher James Day as Educator of the Month. Mr. Day is a Bois Forte Ojibwe who also serves as a part of the SCA Anishinabe Biimaadziwin (AB) Team. Day received his award from Administrative Assistant II Kelly Woodworth (left) and SCA School Principal Marcella Mosqueda (right).
Fellow Anishinaabe Culture and Language Teachers Matthew Sprague Jr. (left), Aaron Chivis (middle), and Joe Syrette (right) couldn’t resist a little ‘Nish humor as they photo bombed Day and his colleagues during the brief award ceremony. Along with receiving an award certificate and an educator-size jar of goodies, Day will be featured in the May edition of the upcoming Tribal Observer.
