SCA Student of the Month Celebration 3-4-16

In an effort to provide bonus coverage, Team Observer joined the Saginaw Chippewa Academy students, teachers and families at their February 2016 Student of the Month Celebration on March 4.  Education Director Melissa Montoya gave a welcome address and recognized the Tribal families and friends in attendance.

 

The Mino Ode Singers offered a welcome song and an Honor Song for the following student recipients:  Pre-K Bradley Woodworth, Kindergarten Meredith Magnell, 1st Grade Liam Arbogast, 2nd Grade Albert Trepanier, 3rd Grade Alayna Disel, 4th Grade Joshua Wemigwans, 5th Grade Julianna Garcia and 6th Grade Thalia Bennett (not pictured).  The celebration concluded with a blessing for the gathering and breakfast from SCA Anishinabe Biimaadziwin Teacher Joe Syrette in Anishnaabemowin.
