Local International Student Exchange representative is currently seeking families to host one or two foreign exchange students from over 45 countries around the world.
The students are between 15 and 18 years of age, and will be attending Mount Pleasant High School during the 2004-2005 school year.
Host families supply the student with a loving environment, as well as room and board.
International Student Exchange (ISE) is dedicated to the promotion of world peace and understanding by bringing together foreign teens with volunteer US Host Families.
Programs allow students from more than 45 countries to become familiar with the American way of life by experiencing its schools, homes
and communities.
A sincere desire to embrace the "one world" philosophy, inquisitiveness about other cultures, and the ability to provide a loving home as well as room and board are the prerequisites to being a Host family.
ISE is authorized by the Department of State Exchange Visitors Bureau to issue the DS 2019, which converts to the J1 High School Exchange Visitors Program Visa. The Council on Standards for International Educational Travel (CSIET) has accepted ISE for listing in the 2003-2004 Advisory List.
Students between 15.6 and 18.6 years on arrival may apply to our program for a semester of study for the full school year.
Each Host Family has an Area Representative who will meet with them and help them select the ideal student for their home.
