Systems Security Analyst Duncan Rae has earned the designation of Certified Information Systems Security Professional-the premier professional certification for information security experts.
The designation is awarded by the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium, a nonprofit group dedicated to training and certifying information security professionals worldwide.
"In today's security-aware environment, corporations and government agencies are implementing comprehensive information security programs to prevent the network break-ins, virus infections and malicious codes that have become a way of life," stated Jim Duffy, managing director of the Framingham, Mass.-based consortium. "With this new sense of urgency and mission, the lack of highly-trained security professionals is getting a fresh look as an underlying problem in meeting global information security needs."
Rae has been with the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe's Information Technology Department for about the past four years.
