The Saginaw Chippewa Tribal College will undergo a comprehensive evaluation visit from Feb. 7-8 by a team representing the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The college was granted initial candidacy status by the Commission in February of 2003. The Tribal college grants degrees at the associate degree level.
I just couldn’t live without her. She was so laid back, cuddly and sweet—the most perfect animal. She didn’t act any different than a mongrel pup, but when I spotted her among the many dogs, I knew I had to have that labrador pedigree puppy.

District 1 voters will have seven candidates to choose from during a Nov. 5 special election. Voting will take place at the Saginaw Chippewa Public Safety Building from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
District 1 Representatives Delores Jackson and Milton “Beaver” Pelcher were voted off of Tribal Council on Oct. 25.
