HYDRANT FLUSHING WILL TAKE PLACE MONDAY 11/11 – FRIDAY 11/15 BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8AM – 5PM. The Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Water Department will be conducting a routine annual flush of the Isabella Reservation’s hydrants and water mains during the week of 11/11-11/15. Hydrant flushing helps remove sediment and mineral deposits from our water mains, and ensures that our fire suppression system functions properly in the event of an emergency. DURING FLUSHING YOU MAY NOTICE THE FOLLOWING: • SLIGHT DISCOLORATION OF WATER • VARIATIONS IN WATER PRESSURE Our water will still be safe for daily use and consumption, but we recommend that you run your cold water tap until discoloration or sputtering subside. These will typically clear up after 5-10 minutes of running your tap. You may also want to avoid doing laundry during flushing hours, as discoloration in the water can cause staining of white clothing.
