A Modern Police Force

The Tribal Police not only enforce laws in Indian Country, but also state and local laws in the county. The Isabella Federal Reservation encompasses five townships and portions of two others in Isabella county with a total of 218 square miles in its jurisdiction. Since 1997 They have been deputized by the Isabella County Sheriff Office. The Tribal Police assist local law enforcement over 400 times a year. The department averages 3,460 investigations and about 9,000 calls for service annually.
